At the Hosting + Cloud Transformation Summit 2015, we explored the new era of Cloud 2.0. One year later, HCTS went a step further to focus on how cloud has incited a Digital Revolution. Michelle Bailey’s opening keynote set the stage for two days of discussion, highlighting the organizational shift from relying on physical to digital infrastructure to deliver products and services. Innovation and differentiation have become the most important driving forces and cloud is at the heart of business transformation.
The conference wrapped up with a lively discussion led by Al Sadowski on whether or not AWS (the 800 lb. gorilla in the room.. literally in this case!) has won the Cloud and what opportunity still exists for others in the space. In between, sessions focused on a range of topics from Interconnection to Internet of Things to Managed Analytics, all driving home the point that digital transformation is not only an option, but the only way for a business to survive in this era. As William Fellows cautioned, you must “Transform or Die!”
